American Businessmen Ready to Invest in Cameroon Tourism

U.S. investors members of the African travel Association (ATA) who are currently visiting Cameroon, have expressed their willingness to invest primarily in the tourism sector, after discussions with the Cameroonian authorities.

In this perspective, the ATA announced the organization in Cameroon, of the 38th Congress of the organization in May 2013, This event will mobilize more than 300 (three hundred) participants, mainly investors from several countries.

Obviously interested in Cameroon’s tourist attractions, American traders visited several sites across the country called “Africa in miniature“.

“There were inspections and technical evaluations of sites that will be exploited for tourism,” said the Head of Delegation Edward Bergman, before commending the availability of Cameroonian authorities and populations during their stay.

The Minister of Tourism and Leisure (MINTOUL) Maïgari Bello Bouba stated that all administrative and technical facilities will be made to ATA leaders to ensure the success of the next sitting.

According to him, Cameroon will focus on improving communications infrastructure and the congress venue, given that the ” ATA Congress is a window to improve tourism and strengthen the competitiveness of Cameroon’s economy “.

The latest figures show that Cameroon has received 600,000 tourists in 2011, a figure below the country’s tourist potential, which features beach resort, wildlife, cultural, ecotourism, agro tourism and more.
