World Cup 2014: Hope is Still Present for Cameroon

The Indomitable lions resumed training at their base in Santo Espirito this Saturday 14th June 2014 after the defeat inflicted on them by Mexico.

All but one player was absent during the training session coordinated by head coach Volker Finke. The remarkable absence of team Captain Samuel Eto’o Fils is what presently keeps the fans more worried.

In an interview to the Cameroon Radio Television this 16th June, Samuel Eto’o confirmed what media reports hinted earlier; that he sustained an injury just ten minutes into the march against Mexico.

He was not categorical that he might recover before the next march on 18th June but remained hopeful that the Indomitable Lions can make it to the second round.

In the meantime, the squad has been receiving physical and technical coaching from their trainers.

In Cameroon, fans are more anxious than discouraged. Everyone is looking forward to the march against Croatia.
It is not a secret that the national team can sail through, after all it is better said in French ” Impossible n’est pas Cameroonais”
